the simplicity in chaos.

My life is anything but simple.

I'm always chasing something. Pursuing something. Going somewhere. Hoping a plane. Boarding a train. Exploring foreign lands. Starting a new project. Meeting new people. Learning new things. Eating weird things! Studying. Creating. Imagining. Dreaming. Piloting crazy new endeavors. Keeping my poor family on the edge of their seats. Always, always on the go.

But yet, there's something simple about it.

Something simple about the freedom to just flutter around from thing to thing, place to place. Don't get me wrong, I am very dedicated and devoted to the things I'm involved in.... But there is just something so wonderful about being able to use your 20's to be free and explore and discover and learn and fumble and triumph.

What have I to lose? Not much... What have I to gain? Awe-striking experiences and amazing memories that I can't begin to fathom...

The freedom to give your life wholeheartedly to the things that have captured it.

To pour your soul into pursuing the wonderfully perfect plans laid out for you by the greatest Author since the beginning of time.

No limits, no restrictions, no fear, no regrets...

It's so simple. It is a gloriously simple, chaotic life.

Some say it's selfish, indulging in your own life and being free from the ties of marriage, children, mortgage payments, school loans, etc... I suppose it is. However, it is this selfishness that enables me to be selfless. To give of myself, without consequence or reserve. For such a time as this.

And all things for a season. Sure, I want to get married and have children just as much as the next person. And even though I plan on having a non-conventional family life (haha to say the least!), there is still something so precious and valuable and promising about your single years. They are there for a reason. This is your chance to run wildly after your dreams. This is your chance to change the world and leave your children with something better than your parents gave you. This is your opportunity to make a difference. To write a piece of history. This is your time. Embrace it! Be challenged! Dream! Hope! GO GO GO!!! :)

I wouldn't trade this for anything.
